CLASS BLOG

September 1, 2006: Hi, everyone. I just send out a mass mailing/emailing to the classmates I've been able to find. Regardless of how you got the mailing, please go to the "Your Info" webpage, and fill in your information, and anyone else's you know, even if you think they've been found. I'd like to make sure I've got everyone's most current stuff. And remember to email me if you have any questions at all. Talk to you all later - Elyse

September 27, 2006: Hey, there. We got a great response from the first mailing. Now we're up to about 115 found. I'll be sending another mailing out right after the new year. Enjoy the holidays- Elyse

January 16, 2007: Hi, everyone. Expect to see a mailing shortly. I also added a few new pages you'll see at the bottom of the site. Please email me if you have anything to add to the new pages of the website. I hope to hear from more people. Talk to you soon- Elyse

January 20, 2007: Well, some of you may have already received my January 19th mailing, either via email or via regular mail. Some of the people I emailed got returned back to me, probably because it thinks the email is spam. If you still want emails rather than paper mailings, just add epitts@mohsclassof1990.com to your approved senders list in your junk mail software. Otherwise, I'll send paper mailings to you from now on. Talk to you later - Elyse

August 12, 2008: So, it's been a long time.  I've kind of taken the summer off.  I had twins in July, so it's been a little crazy.  Come September, though, expect to hear from me, particularly if you're helping with the reunion music!  Talk to you soon- Elyse

January 18, 2010:  Well, if you haven't been back for a while, there is one big, gigantic update- you can now purchase tickets online.  Just go to Purchase Tix/Book Rooms to see how it's done.  I can't believe it, but the reunion is less than 11 months away.  Get ready.  It could be crazy...  - Elyse

Adam Silverstein: I'm a middle school vice principal (soon to be principal) and I got married on October 7. I've been working on my doctorate in education at Columbia, but I'll be transferring to Seton Hall in the spring. I'm looking forward to the reunion, especially since I couldn't make the 10 year.

Nancy Griffin McCarthy: Married Hugh McCarthy after college had 2 beautiful girls. I work in Human Resources at UPS (12 years now). In free time, I coach my daughter's soccer team, play soccer in a women's league, and teach aerobics. Things are pretty good :) My email is mcjazz6803@aol.com.

Thanks to all my MOHS friends who have helped me out. Jim Murtha, Jamie Piacente, and Joe Frattina to name a few. I myself recently ran into Tom McKenna. He was sniffing glue out of a bag. I cleaned him off and gave him 10 bucks. If anyone else had any encounters with Tom McKenna please call me at 973-723-1549. I would love to here from every one either way.  Remember I started the best food fight in MOHS history. See you all at the reunion.

April Gregory: Still single; no kids. Lived in Tennessee and Texas before transferring back to NJ with AT&T in 2003. Got an MBA in Technology Management in 2004.

Still working on photography, I think I'm googleable if you want to check out my website. I'd love to come to the 20th reunion since I missed the 10th.

Re'Shanda Grace Bridges: Hello Class of 90! Greetings from wark San Antonio Texas where I work as the Associate Director of Orientation & Transition Services at the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA). We have been back in Texas for 3 years now. For those of you who went to the 10 yr reunion, you may remember that I was 8 months pregnant at the time. My son, Xayvion is now 6 yrs old and an active 1st grader!

Carol Pilone Juliano: I am married with 2 kids and have been an event planner for Verizon Wireless for the past 11 years.

Abi-Gayle LaBarre Goldberg: Hi everyone- I got divorced and moved to Charlotte, NC w/ my pup, Sydney. I have my own business here in hairstyling and my last name is now changed to my real father's last name. That may throw some of you off. Hope to see you all soon or at least be in touch. TTFN Update:  Hello Class of '90.  I currently live with my husband, my dog, Sydney, and my 2 step-sons in Mooresville, NC.  I own a salon/spa called LA Chique in Cornelius and I simply love life here.  See you on Facebook.

Ian Grob: Well, after a whirlwind tour of the US (the cliffs are  a friggin Wal-mart now?), finding Verbel in NYC, and Bub (chris) and Bone (winkler) at winklers wedding..I suppose I will chime in here.  After 2 lost years at Rutgers I went to RIT, moved to Phoenix to crash cars, semi's, and Harleys for a few years, then went off to be Harley-Davidsons research photographer, got bored and become the US Forest Services photographer here in awesome Missoula, MT which has presented opportunities unimaginable while sitting in Mrs. Berry's photo class at MOHS.

Kristina Von Tetzlaff: Hi everyone. I never married, no children - both by choice.  Life is good! I've been managing a full service brokerage firm (Hennion & Walsh, Inc.) for the last 15 years.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. P.S. I think we all owe our thanks to Elyse for her incredible efforts to get us all together to make our 20th unforgetable!  Thanks Elyse! Kristina04@gmail.com

Christopher Hagel: Well well well you all.  The nut job from High School seems to be more sane than any of you all that I run into - whoooa.  Married to a beautiful woman named Maryam in Iran 2002.  Man, I lived down the shore from 19 till about 30.  From there, I moved to Istanbul, Turkey with my wife, then we moved to her homeland Iran and God what a beautiful country.  Traveled everywhere and just have not hit the African continent.  My wife and I are seperated, but I like it that way much better.  Just cannot seem to commit to dealing with a womans rath without having to want to walk out.  I think that I would have to be extremely rich and have my own house to go back to that!  I have an Engineering Degree and work as a Network Engineer building what we all rely on daily.  I began to get peace with myself some years back when i realized I was addicted to chaos, so once I put the drugs down, everything flowed from there.  God bless you all and feel free to find me on myspace via saintgod2002@yahoo.com .

Todd Carlstrom: Hey Marauderlings. After graduating Drew U, moved to Brooklyn, where I finally felt at home. Been producing, writing, and acting in indie theatre for 12 years, making no money at it, but hey, love's love. Ditto indie rock: doing a  solo album under the (tasteless) name Limp Richard and the Disappointments. Married my college sweetheart in 04; expecting a daughter in March! BTW, Elyse kicks ass!

Jeffrey Knight:  I am the divorced father of one amazing daughter who will be starting middle school soon (way too soon!).  I've gone through plenty of changes since high school.  First was the navy for six years, and then I was a police officer for ten years in Virginia and Maryland.  Somewhere in there I managed to get through college.  Then I went to law school at the University of Maryland.  I think this will be the last career...practicing tax law.  I'm starting with a New York firm, working in its Washington, DC office.  I met my girlfriend, Heidi, in law school, and she'll be working for her environmental law firm in Baltimore.  So we're now living between Baltimore and Washington.  My email is jknight10@gmail.com if anyone wants to get in touch.  UPDATE: A lot has changed since my last update.  I left private practice to be a trial attorney for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in southern Cal.  I'm getting married next April.  My parents are finally leaving M.O. and heading to Florida in the fall.  I won't have as many chances to visit, but I hope to make it to the reunion.  Like I said...a lot of changes.

Jennifer Kyser Hooper: I am a Sr HRIS Business Analyst for the Corporate office of Avery Dennison Corp. in Pasadena, CA.  I've been married for 3 years and have 2 kids, Zachary (2 1/2) and Taylor (6 mos).

Shannon VanArdsdale Martin: Sadly, I left at the end of senior year, but graduated shortly thereafter. I am now an R.N.. I have five , yes five little people. (well, some not so little now.)My two oldest, both girls, now 18, and 16, then two boys, 12,and 9, and then my baby girl, 3 years old now. I've been divorced now about 2 and half years, after a fifteen year marriage to a former Rocbury alumni, go figure, Roxbury never was a team we worked well with, lol. I have hit many bumps in the road over the years and I am grateful for every single one of them. Without those trials, there would be no growth, and I wouldn't be who I am today, or appreciate life to its fullest, as I do. This life is a journey, and I am honored that I was able to share part of that journey with so many of you. For those no longer here to celebrate and share in the 20 year reunion, I'm sure I stand among many in saying their spirit lives on in the shared memories of so many of us, even though their presence will be so very missed. It's funny, with all the highschool differences we had, years later many realize , to some extent, we were still a family. My hope for you all is that life has been kind , and taken you all to the places you had dreamed of, and to so many others you never knew you needed. God Bless.

Most of my day is spent in the car driving from sports to gymnastics...I wouldn't have it any other way. Can't wait to see everyone.

James Lynch: So can anybody tell me where the hell 20 years went?  My God, it is 20 years this very month that we all entered MOHS as freshmen!  For those who escaped "the olive" you will not recognize the alma mater.  I guess a $47 million dollar facelift does that to a school. Actually, encapsulating the old facade in a new expanded one is what does it.  Things here in MO are still kinda the same otherwise.  I now own a house and raise my two kids with my wife Danielle here in Budd Lake.  I work for the town and am Supervisor of Parks, Buildings and Grounds.  Translation, after 7 years of college I got a BS in American History and a Turfgrass Science Degree from Rutgers that let me play with expensive lawn mowers and work with other MOHS grads.  (my father keeps equating 7 years and the word doctor, oh well!)  Can't wait to see those attending!

Tom DeLorenzo: I have been living here in Bucks County for about three years.  After years of managing restaurants I started to get burned out and while pursuing a new oppurtunity got recruited by a big corporation to manage one of their stores.  It is new and exciting and I am loving every minute of it.  I still d a lot of theater and my new passion is travel.  I've been all over but the most exciting trip was the one I took to Thailand shortly after the Tsunami.  Can't wait to tell you all about it in person.

Jennifer Campisi Hedges: I have been married for 7 years.  We have two children, James 3 1/2 years old and Sean 3 months old.  I work for Realogy, formerly part of Cendant Corporation as the National Training Manager for ERA Real Estate. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Jennifer Shady Kratzer: I can't believe it's been nearly 20 years!  I guess time flies when you're having fun!  I graduated in '94 from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelors in Social Work, and worked as a long term care social worker for 8 years.  Then I worked as a Chiropractic Assistant/Office Manager for 3 years.  I got married to a great guy in 1999, and we have a beautiful daughter named Neya (her name means "fulfilled wish") who was born in 2004.  I'm now a stay-at-home Mom, and I love it!  We live 5 mins. outside of Hershey PA, so if you're ever at Hershey Park, look us up!  My email address in jennifer@thekratzers.com, and our website is www.thekratzers.com.

Doug McPeek: Life after MOHS, hmmmmm....where to start....lived in San Diego 8 years...got married....have 3 boys....been around the world while serving in the U.S. Navy....now living in PA....working as a Senior Engineer for a telecommunications company.  Looking forward to catching up with old friends!

John Cogan: Hey everyone.  Seeing as my brother Justin beat me to the punch on posting stuff months ago, I am sure some of you may be wondering what ever happened to his twin brother.  I'm living the single life in Hackettstown NJ and just started a new job in July working as a systems administrator for Weiler Corporation in the Poconos, PA.  I haven't managed to travel to the extent that some of the others appear to have done, but I did manage to go to Tahiti in 2001 for a couple weeks.  That was the vacation of a lifetime.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.  If anyone wants to get in touch, I can be reached at rhymerguy@yahoo.com.

I worked in newspapers for a few years as a reporter for the Pocono Record in Stroudsburg, Pa., but then the Web came along and I dove headfirst into it as the paper's online editor. A few years later I decided to try an industry with much less insane hours, and took a job as the webmaster at Drew University … which brought me back home to Morris County. After seven years there, I gave up a grueling commute on 78/287 for a brisk walk to work as a web developer at Lafayette College. We have two kids, our daughter Jordan, who's four, and our son Luke, who just turned one. Although I grew up and got the day job, I'm as big a geek as I ever was … I'm just lucky enough to get paid for it now thanks to my writing gigs at SCIFI.com, Knights of the Dinner Table and my own site, Nuketown.com.

Cassandra Wetzel Fenyk: IIt is so nice to read about everyone else doing so well. My daughter, Chelsey, will soon be 1 year old. My husband, Don, and I live in Madison, with an additional 2 family members of the furry kind - Sam and Holly.  Life is interesting and exciting.

Debbie Kentos Bradford: Well where to begin.  After highschool I went on to get a BFA in Interior Architecture from James Madison. I spent 6 months living in Italy studying Arch. I worked in Washington DC for a few years and got married.  Went to culinary school.  Got divorced and remarried.  Moved to Georgia with my current husband of 8 years.  I am a happy stay at home mom of three kids 7, 5, 18 months. Life is great!  I did not attend the 10 year because I was on bedrest with my 1st child but will see everyone at the 20th.

Monica Barbee Rissew: Took off right after graduation and didn't look back....currently running a chiropractic and physical therapy clinic, married 16 years and a mom of 4 wonderful kids!  The youngest will be 10 in December 2007 the oldest is 15.  Alaska is great- love the outdoors.  Hiking, four wheeling, fishing, snow machining, and skiing....life is good! Definitely think I'm interested in the reunion......maybe connect with some old friends.

Kimberly Klejna-Veszi: I have been married for 9 years and have 4 children.  We live in Warren County, and I have been a supervisor for Kohl's Department store for 7 years in Roxbury.

Melissa Kelly Sneider: After grad, I went to CCM then to ESU.  Graduated in Education became a Christian Missionary on Hopi Reservation in AZ.  Came home to look into teaching overseas when I met my wonderful husband.  Now in Sussex County, NJ with 3 kids (Tristan 6, Wyatt 4, Penelope 3)8 horses, 7 goats, 4 dogs countless cats and about a hundred chickens.  I am no longer teaching, but staying home taking care of my family.  Often think about all the people I grew up with.  Glad to have found this site!

Chris Wood: Don't let Megan fool you about the nudity thing -- Bilow just cruised through California last week and we spent about $275 in singles seeing her show at the Dew Drop In Lounge. That's my week's salary out here pile driving the new approach for the Oakland Bay Bridge.

Trisha Pitman Kindle: It sure has been a long time.  I moved to Texas shortly after I graduated from MOHS. I am currently a Safety Coordinator in the Oilfield.  I am married and have 2 boys Kyler who is 11 and Ethan who is 6 as well as a Step-Son Corey who is 24.  We stay pretty busy with work, school, and the kids activities ofcourse, but would love to hear from the class of 1990!

Debra Nagle Matulonis: I'm currently living in Florida.  My husband is in the Air Force, therefore, we move every few years.  I have 3 children ages 7-12.

Justin Maltagliati: What a great site to keep in touch with each other. Ok lets see... after HS I served 5 and a half years in the US Coast Guard as an Aviation Medevac Specialist / Diver. Then went to College for Police Science / Forensics. I opened 2 Private Investigation Agencies one in NY and one in Florida where I specialized in VIP Protection. I got married for 2 1/2 years then divorced. Closed the companies down and became a Federal Police Officer in NY/NJ Districts. AS of Feb 2008 I was promoted and moved to Nebraska where I run the Fugitive Felon Program / Apprehension Team.

James Hubbard: After MOHS, I went to CCM for about a half of a semester.  It took me that long to know that college was not for me.  So it was time to learn a trade.  So I worked in a steel mill, then for Mitsubishi Chemical as a Research Associate for an x-ray intensifying screen plant, then drove a forklift for a Toyota distribution center for 9 years before I realized that I haven't learned a trade and it was time to be a big boy.  I left Toyota and applied to the IBEW- Electrical Union.  While waiting to get in I worked for Lowe's for two months.  Now that's humbling!  I got into the IBEW and became an electrician.  Now, I run my own business as an electrical Contractor in Birmingham, Al.  It is great!  It has surpassed my wildest expectations.  Running your own business is truly liberating, (and stressful at times). I got married in 2003 to a Randolph girl.  In 2007 we moved to Alabama and had our first child, Joselyn Ann.  Then in April of '09 we had our second girl, Sarah Nicole.  They are so beautiful and my angels!  I feel so blessed.  Life is good. It was great to read everybody’s stories and even seeing some of the names brought back some great memories. If anyone would like to contact me, please feel free!jimmyhubbard@charter.net

Brian Womble: After college I was an infantry officer in the USMC.  I was stationed in VA, CA (in the middle of the Mojave Desert), and Japan.  I met my wife in CA, got married in 1999, and shortly after went to the FBI Academy.  After the Academy, we left San Diego for Rhode Island (which was the equivalent of asking my wife to live on the moon since she lived in LA/SD all her life).  I've been a FBI Agent in Rhode Island for the last 8 years.  I've worked mostly on mafia and labor racketeering cases, although I spent last summer in Iraq on a counter-terrorism assignment.  My wife and I have two sons (4,2) and she is due with baby #3 in June.  brianwomble@cox.net

Nice to hear about classmates' lives and see pix of their families. Thank you Elyse for all your hard work.

Verta Maloney-McLetchie: So after reading about all the wonderful and amazing lives you are all leading and realizing how it really warmed my soul (Thanks Elyse), I am going to contribute a little bit about present day Verta.  I am married and have two amazing and beautiful children.  Nolan is six and Simone is almost two.  Nolan is our brilliantly gentle soul that gets along with everyone.    Simone is our passionate independent soul that knows exactly who she is and what she wants already.  Motherhood has been my greatest accomplishment to date!  After verbal combat with the great crew I spent some many honors classes with in high school (that comment is out of love) I was more than prepared for graduate school and undergrad!  I spent many years as a classroom teacher and staff developer in urban public schools. I was a school director for an arts elementary school in the South Bronx for 5 and a half years.  I am presently a leadership coach for an amazing organization that plans to ensure quality leaders in every public school in this nation by 2014 that will ensure academic success for all urban students.  I am being the change I wish to see in this world!  Be in touch and take gentle care of yourselves.  <verta@mac.com>

I live about 45 minutes from Kelly Waters.  She's married and doing well. I have a great job in the Finance Department at a Childrens Home.  The kids range from 6 to 18 years old.  I interact with some, depending on the level of care.  No children yet, but I'm still hopeful.  If anyone wants to e-mail me send it to bmw372@yahoo.com  I hope everyone stays healthy & happy.  I think I will be coming to the 20 year reunion.  Melissa, I'm holding you to going with me!
